Job assistance for  Military Veterans, career services for youth made available for you through local schools, libraries, and community organizations. Seniors, specialized program for qualified job seekers who are age 55+ is available through the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), Ex-offenders The Repatriation Program is available at the Job Center through the College of Lake County.   Prairie State Legal Services offers free legal services for qualifying civil cases for low-income individuals.  Individuals with disabilities

The Job Center supports individuals with disabilities.   Adaptive equipment available at the Job Center includes: adjustable height computer station, large screen monitor, JAWS software that acts as an audible screen reader, ZoomText software that enlarges items on computer monitor,  and a closed circuit TV to magnify documents.

A short term therapeutic approach to reducing suspension time in schools. Can be used for alcohol/drug, aggression, and/or sexting violations. Typically 6 sessions and includes a comprehensive assessment, psycho education, counseling on decision making, coping skills, and prevention and a parental component. Sessions are usually conducted on an individual basis but CYN does offer groups from time to time on specific issues.

YouthBuild is YCC’s Core Program

The purpose of this six month program is to help young people, ages 16-24, get back on track and become self-reliant. Most of the young people in this program have left high school without a diploma and are unemployed. We provide these youth with a pathway to continue their education and to learn construction skills. In addition, we teach our members lifelong career and life skills that are necessary for accomplishing their goals.
