EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Reports Directly To: Hope Collective Senior Pastor and the Hope Center USA Board of Directors

Overview:
The Executive Director (ED) of The Hope Center USA serves as the chief executive of the organization and is responsible for strategic leadership, operational oversight, financial stewardship, and mission advancement. The ED works closely with the Board of Directors to set organizational direction and ensures high-quality programs, strong community relationships, and sustainable growth while maintaining a strong relationship with the founding church, the Hope Collective. 

1. Strategic Leadership & Vision

·     Lead the development and execution of the organizations strategic plan.

·      Identify emerging opportunities, community needs, and sector trends.

·      Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous  improvement.

2. Board Relations & Governance

·      Serve as the primary liaison between the Board and staff.

·      Provide timely, accurate information to support informed governance.

·     Support board development, recruitment, and training.

·       Implement board policies and committees and ensure compliance with bylaws.

  3. Fundraising & Resource Development

·       Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy.

·       Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, and government
partners.

·    Oversee grant writing, reporting, and compliance.

·     Represent the organization at events, presentations, and donor meetings.

 4. Financial Management

·     Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal accountability.

·      Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

·      Work with the Board to maintain financial health and sustainability.

 5. Program Oversight & Impact

·     Ensure programs are mission-aligned, effective, and responsive to community needs.

·      Oversee program evaluation, data collection, and continuous improvement.

·      Support staff in developing and implementing high-quality services.

 6. Staff Leadership & Organizational Culture

·       Recruit, supervise, and develop a high-performing team.

·       Foster an inclusive, equitable, and supportive workplace culture.

·      Implement HR policies, performance evaluations, and professional development.

7. External Relations & Advocacy

·       Serve as the public face of the organization.

·       Build strong partnerships with community leaders, coalitions, and stakeholders.

·       Advocate for policies and initiatives aligned with the mission.

·       Manage media relations and organizational communications.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

·       A follower of Jesus who demonstrates a commitment to scripture as his/her guide.

·       Demonstrated leadership experience in nonprofit, public, or related sectors.

·       A minimum of 5-8 years of experience with proven results in fundraising and donor-relations
skills.

·     Proven financial management and budgeting experience.

·       Excellent communication, relationship-building, and public speaking abilities.

·       Commitment to equity, inclusion, and community-centered practices.

Preferred

·       Experience working with a Board of Directors.

·       Knowledge of the organizations mission area

·       Advanced degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business, or related field.

·       Proficiency in Spanish

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULE

·       Full-time, exempt position.

·       Evening and weekend commitments for food pantry, events, board meetings, and/or community
engagements.

·       Hybrid or on-site expectations depending on organizational needs.
